Gingerbread and wireless tether

I have a Droid X, Apex 2.0 rc2, WIFI Tether 3.1 beta2 installed.

I have not run the TBH patch (yet). I can see, and connect to my phone as it appears in Win 7 Network and Sharing center.

When I connect I get a message on my computer saying;
"secure connection failed" mail.google.com;443 uses an invalid security certificate." The certificate is only valid for dunsp.vzw.com (error code; bad_cert_domain)"
Now what? Patch or not to patch?

Until 3 days ago I was still using my Motorola E815, so please feel free to talk down to me.

Yes. That works. I don't know what's with all the secretive pms.

So we don't need the patch if we use the 3.1 tether app?

Well, only one way to find out. Lol

Edit: It didn't work. I'll try applying the patch.

Edit again: I applied the patch and still couldn't get it work. Anyone else have any problems? What should the settings be on the wireless tether app?

Thanks!

If you applied the patch it will work. Try again.

When applying the patch I noticed it says: To unpatch use TBH_DX_Tether_Unpatch_1.0.zip

But then continues to apply the patch:

Patching techerting....

NV update 1 of 4...
NV update 2 of 4...
NV update 3 of 4...
NV update 4 of 4...

Install from sdcard complete.

Does that sound like it worked?
