Gingerbread and wireless tether

When applying the patch I noticed it says: To unpatch use TBH_DX_Tether_Unpatch_1.0.zip

But then continues to apply the patch:

Patching techerting....

NV update 1 of 4...
NV update 2 of 4...
NV update 3 of 4...
NV update 4 of 4...

Install from sdcard complete.

Does that sound like it worked?

Well, what happens when you try to tether?

My laptop can see my droid x wireless connection. When I choose it I'm able to connect to it but I'm not able to get on the Internet from my laptop.

That's not a patch problem. The patch prevents you from getting stopped by verizon's paywall, that's it.
