As long as you don't wipe data you should be able to uninstall them without losing your settings. Also I know ADW has a backup to SD option, don't know about the others

Ok, is anyone else having a problem with their ringtones and notifications? Every time I go into Settings to change them it force closes. How can I get my old sounds back?!!

Other than that (and current lack of root!) this is great! I highly recommend flashing Gingerbread. My DX is soooo much sweeter now!

I named my droid XL because I love him that much!!!

Yes!! Looking at the pics on mydroidworld, it has the launcher thats on the Bionic. I've been wanting to try that launcher out ever since I saw it on the Bionic.

I will be installing this when I get home.

I have Gingerbread zipped to my phone but yet to initiate it. I am rooted. Is it worth giving up root acccess to your phone?

Ok. I have read through all these threads and I see that if I falsh GB and want to go back to liberty I will have to sbf....So this means go back to stock...then restore my backups? What if I make a backup of current system and try GB for a while and then do a factory reset a and restore my backup...will that work. I know that seems like a stupid question but when I rooted the first time I didn't make a backup of my stock system so I would have to use one of the sbf files to do this.....

I've seen a lot of posts from people that can still use Hotspot on GB with the TBH fix. haven't tried...I think I'm waiting for root.

Yes. You have to use RSD Lite to SBF.

If you want to go back to Liberty, you have to SBF, then root, then flash Liberty.

Thank you. I was assuming that was the case. I hate to lose root. I guess I will just be waiting til they find root for this. Thanks for the response though..........
