Going in to get my Bionic now! What do you think?

If your going to wait for the latest and greatest phone, you'll be waiting a long time. The bionic is an awesome phone that will be able to hold its own against pretty much anything for years to come.

Take a look at the supposed samsung prime pic. I would wait for the prime

I herd that Prime wont be out for awhile like in 2012.

And as for rooting it I'm not sure yet. If I do it will be for the free tethering, deblot , and better setting for better battery life.

So anyway I'm very happy with the Bionic. Way better support then the HTC Thunderbolt. So how many hours are people getting on this phone and factory battery no root.

I like my Bionic. I've had the og droid, the droid x, and now this one. I bought the extended battery for it and it's great. I get over a full day with regular use and about 24 hours with moderate. No problems with reliability so far. I think a lot of problems people are having with reboots and such may stem from apps rather than the Bionics design because mine has been rock solid, jmo. I love the fact that I can see the screen very well outdoors, you know real life use. That's important to me because I use it not only in the office but also for a lot of outdoor activities... GPS locks extremely fast. Apps launch and execute extremely fast. Call quality above average. Noise reduction from wind excellent. It's a solid device. Motorola usually supports their products well so expect updates. I have not rooted because I just don't see the benefits of rooting for the Bionic yet. Out of the box and even with motoblur it's an excellent ui imo. Overall I'm happy with my decision to buy the Bionic. It's easily good for the next two years if you look at it from a realistic useability standpoint and not the best on paper specs. Sometime those paper specs amount to no more than bragging rights in the real world.

I too am a proud Bionic owner. Like a couple other people have said before, if you are waiting on the latest and greatest its going to be a long wait! Its true with everything, cars, tv's, aby type of tech, you name it.

With a dual core and 4g powerhouse that can handle anything you can throw at it, what more can l people want?

We are already seeing some great dev support, so we haven't even scratch the surface of the possibilities of this phone.

I think thus phone will for sure hold me over until my next upgrade. By then we will have the Prime 3, or the Bionic 3 or DROID X 6! Lol!

Just got mine up and running today. (had to got to verizon store to swap my SIm) I am loving it already. fast as heck a smooth as silk so far.

Yeah I have only had mine for about 2 hours but I have fallen in love. Screen is so much better then the TB along with everything else. I hate HTC Sense. I started with the Droid, then got the X, then the Pro, then the TB, and now the Bionic. Motorola is a far better phone them HTC. I loved all of my Motorola phone besides the Pro. But still the Pro seemed to be a better phone the the HTC TB.

Just some insight to battery on my Bionic. Since I unplugged it this morning at 8:45am i have been using it VERY heavily. A lot of streaming, bluetooth, youtube, facebook, email, angry birds here and there. Right now my stock battery is sitting at 26%. I'm not saying that's good or bad but I'll let the forum decide.

Only because we are more closer to other phones coming out, more phones to choose from is never a bad thing. With that said...the Bionic is a nice choice on Verizon right now. I'm still debating on waiting or getting it myself. My money situation fixed itself...lol....so I can actually get the Bionic right now. Just need concrete info on release dates for upcoming phones. Cuz I wont wait til next year, I need a new phone this year. I may upload a pic of my Droid X1 so yall can see what I mean...LOL!!

Then again, I can probably get a Droid X1 cheap somewhere and just hold out...decisions...decisions....

^Well your X will make a nice back up phone eh?! I pulled out my phone at a red light today and in direct sunlight I was able to actually see it! You tend for forget how nice that is and I'm not sure I want to give that up for a bump in specs!

I can get close to 22 hours with normal usage for ME. But if i really try and im playing the drag racing game i can cut that down to like 4-5 hrs.

Well I must say this phone really is amazing. Super fast. Im in the local pizza shop just messing around on it and I'm very amazed how much faster and better it is then my TB I had. I've only had one issue but a reset solved that.

I have had 0 problems with my Bionic and it gets tremendous battery life. I took it off the charger at 0500 this morning. That is 5:00 AM for those non military people. Anyway and i have used it all day work which is 12 hours. I have been texting, goggling listening to MP3's, downloading and using apps, web surfing, using widgets (i keep my widgets on refresh every 10 minutes or less), Facebooking, keep my weather updated, and other things. I am sitting at exactly 50% battery life right now. To be honest that is better battery life than my iPhone 4.
