I get the wanting every bell and whistle but that just takes up more space and adds weight.
Let's see maybe they have something up their sleeve with the camera.. Other than saving on cost not sure why not include it.. At least on the Huawei version...

This is really why android has to be so diverse as you are going to have people on different sides of the aisles. You will have some who refuse to buy a phone unless it can be rooted while others can care less. Some must have a large screen while others prefer to go small, some have to have the latest and greatest of specs while others just want something that does the basics well (calls, text, and surfing from time to time).
What I like about Samsung is they provide the best in specs year after year but what I hate about them is they lock it down and will not allow users to remove the features they hate.
Nexus phones are by far the best for getting the fastest updates and being able to manually update your software but is lacking in providing game changing hardware.
HTC seems to have given up.
LG seems to be a few key areas from Samsung but at least remains in the discussion.
Huawei is that company that has done enough to catch people's attention but it will be interesting to see what they do with it.
One Plus keep tripping over themselves. They go from being in the spotlight for doing some good things with the One Plus to being scrutinized (rightfully so) for never settling to live up to the expectations they set.
Motorola has really made a rebound from the grave after all those horrible line of blurred up and locked down droid phones. Motorola is one of those companies that you can call the communities champion as it will not grab the praise from average fans but is seen with high regards from enthusiasts.
