That is true. The sync may not understand the reminder info and defaults to 10 minutes or nothing is received from the sync so the calendar defaults to 10 minutes because it knows there is a reminder but no reminder info received.

That's what I'm thinking. I bet if you change your default reminder time in the calendar app, it'd remind you earlier.

I set my default reminder time for half an hour. That way, if I totally forget something, I have time to prep & hurry there.

Funny thing is my default is set to 15 min. Unless it is picking up the stock calender app settings. I will have to check.
