You should be able to long press on the selected message and hit the copy in the top ..

The copying functions work in Facebook, for example. Just not in the Messages app. Strange.

Hmmm gotcha...so you don't see the copy on top ? Or when you hit it nothing is copying?

The long hold function works in most any other app that I've tried this morning to copy to clipboard, or long pressing on the calendar app to bring up options. When I try in the Google Messages app to copy a message the message just kind of jitters and no other response. No options come up and the message doesn't highlight so that I can go into the 3 dot menu to forward like in the past. Maybe I will uninstall and reinstall??
