Google Releasing DIY "App Inventor" - App Creation Tool

Yes. Microsoft. Visual Basic.

It's going to be an awesome way to flood the Android market even further with crapware.

I don't get comments like these.

1] Do you just randomly peruse the market looking for things everyday and think "Mannn all this crapware!!!"
2] or do you hear about, read about or check the Top Downloads section of the market to find your apps?

You act as if it's difficult to find out what apps are good, or that the navigation of the market is so difficult that it takes weeks to find the app you're looking for. There is a TON of crapware on the market now. I rarely see it, because I don't just peruse the Android market for hours hoping for a diamond in the rough app. When App Inventor comes out there will be a ton more crappy apps and I don't plan on sifting through those either. If you want to find crappy apps, you will....if you don't, you won't. Simple as that.

Just so you know, if no one ever looked through the "Just In" section, you'd NEVER find a good app. Ratings only help when all the apps get rated. If someone puts out an awesome app, but no one ever goes thru the "Just In" section of the Market, it'll never get rated high enough to make it to the Top apps.

I agree, that someone has to do the dirty work, but again, I'm pretty confident in my ability to discern a crap app from a good one. If it's called "Asian Women Crying Callback App" I'm sure not to download it. Reading descriptions works wonders and often the developers of good apps do a better job of advertising their app then just throwing it in the market with no other info or post somewhere on a forum.

This isn't as easy as I originally anticipated, there is a little learning curve. Maybe I should go through the tutorial instead of skipping it lol.
