I just signed up for mine although I dont know if I will use it. Plus Im pretty sure I already have it installed on my phone...I think it somehow got packaged on a theme I downloaded.

Anyone know of a way to get one without a .edu email address?

Education in Australia - College, University, TAFE - international students, free email - australia.edu
Look on the top right hand side of the page.

That will get you a .edu address for free.

I bought my Google Voice invite on Ebay for $5. Worth it, IMO. I use the voicemail.
