Google voice network error

I have a Motorola Droid and have used google voice for my voicemail using my cell number since getting the phone in November. For 2 months, it worked well. For over two weeks now, I am not getting voicemails sent to the google voice app on the phone. They are getting into google voice and do get forwarded to my email, so I am finding out they are there in a timely manner, but everytime I try to refresh google voice on my phone it says "network error." The only way to make it work is to power on and off the phone. This only works for a few hours and then I have to do it over again.

I posted on the google voice help page 5 days ago, but no one has responded. This is quite annoying.

Any suggestions?
