I have google voice and no idea where invites come from.. other then requesting them thru google, so the ones people send, I dont know where they get them.

They give you 3 invites. After that, you don't get anymore.

Somebody offered some the other day. My wife needed one so I managed to get one from her so yes, they are offered. The best thing to do is to maybe subscribe to this thread and check frequently. Usually when one is offered they will say "If you want one PM me," it's not like they go through the list of requests.

Luck and timing. And again you can request an invite from Google, I've posted the link for that. Also they are for sale on eBay. I know you shouldn't have to pay for something that's freely distributed but if you really want one that may be the way to go.
