Its how I got on board. I have GV, but they STILL haven't sent me any invites to pass on. I got mine for $5 on ebay. If you really need it, then here is a way.
I thought I really needed it, so I bought mine, but I really have only used it about 4-5 times.

I've been on board with Chrome, Droid, Gmail, etc for a long time, and I ended up getting MY invite HERE ... none at the moment, but keep checking back. I got mine for $5
