I think it might be easier to do it this way, rather than search through all of the forums for who should get it first, but I'll toss an invite (I have 1) to the first person to pm me their emaill address (and ask nicely).

I am a little confused about this invite. I downloaded the app but are you saying that it is unusable without an invite? I would liek an invite if someone would be so kind.

That's correct. It's still in the "beta" stages, so Google Voice is Invite-Only. If you look around a bit, a lot of people are giving out invites.
