Google Voice

Ive already given out all my invites, as Ive had gvoice for a while now, but Ive heard you can buy invites on ebay pretty cheap. I use gvoice for business and its amazing. The transcriptions are about 50/50, but they can account for accents, which I think is amazing. The only thing I dont like about gvoice on the droid, is that you can only use your gvoice number as your outbound caller ID if you are calling from your phonebook or contact list, you cannot just dial a number or else it uses your cell number for your caller ID...that sort of sucks.

No, if you go to the google voice options in your phone, you can choose the option "ask to use google voice for every call" and you can choose which which number to dial out with regardless of if they are in your contact list or not.

I finally got my Google Voice today after requesting it a couple of weeks ago from Google. The bummer is that I cannot get assigned a Google Number so I cannot use most of the options. Darn!

Doesnt work. gvoice option only pops up if calling from from contact list or previous calls, not when dialing the actual number on the keypad.

Thats wierd. When I have that option selected, and then type in a number and hit send, it asks me whether to use gv or not.

Hmm....maybe I'll uninstall and reinstall again.

This is the most ridiculous thread on this forum If anyone really wants an ivite, go to eBay and buy one for $1. Why have the moderators allowed this thread to continue this long? Must be entertaining to watch it.

Why do you care, if you don't like a thread don't read it. It obviously has some value to those posting in it.

They're "invite only" right now. You can do as a previous poster said, and waste $1 on one on ebay, or you could just ask nicely, and someone may be able to give you one. I'd toss one your way, but I'm out of invites at the moment.
