I would like to know more about the Google Voice app and how it will work with Verizon's IN network plans.
I read that the Google Voice App when downloaded will replace the dialing app on the phone and then route all calls and texts over the Google VoIP network. Does anyone know if this is true?
My worry is that by doing this these calls and texts will not count as IN network and large subsequent cell bills will then occur for my friends and I. Just to give you an example, last month I sent a little over 3000 IN network texts and used a little under 4000 IN minutes. So as you can see, if these calls and texts are not counted as IN network, it will render the app useless to my friends and I. (Which is 50% of the reason for getting a droid in my book)
I have talked to several verizon tech support guys who have said they do not know if the app will effect IN minutes. Can anyone verify one way or the other?
I hate to be a beggar, but the texting through Google Voice is the only way that I will be allowed to get the Droid. It would be Greatly apprecitated if anyone could send an invite to [email protected]
