The workaround for Google Wallet for me
I had an old version of google wallet, from before the unsupported device message came out, so I figured I should update it just in case. I recently updated to the newest version by using my computer. There is an extension for Google Chrome called APK Downloader. Once setup, it lets you go to the play store, and in the address bar there is an icon that lets you download the apk to your computer, and then you can side load the app from there.
This will work on any free app, even if none of your devices are compatable (like google wallet for me). I have used it a few other times when there was an app that was "not compatable" with my Galaxy Nexus, or with my Galaxy Tab, and then side loaded the app to it and it works perfectly fine. Not sure why it says "not compatable" if it seems to work, I guess it is not officially supported.
