Can we get it such that notification backgrounds are a light color? The black background means we can't read the text from 1/3 of the notifications since they display with black text instead of the white text you have configured for it. I understand it's because the apps don't follow the standard, but there are a ton of them and I'd just rather have a white background than fuss with that argument.

Also, +1 for you blowing away /system. That's by far the best way to do it.

no, two different ROM's. There are two threads, one for the D1 and one for the DX

Congrats. The longer I have it, the more I like it. At first I was a bit disappointed because the D1 and it's open bootloader is so much fun to play with, and I missed some of the things I could do on the D1. Now I could never give up the screen size, it's just as fast or faster than my overclocked D1, and with Chevy developing SSX, were not far from where we were with the D1. Plus work/family has been busier, so I haven't had as much time to apply these developer hacks as on the D1, so that factor is mitigated. Plus I'm finding I like some of the blur functionality, not the widgets, but the social apps/combining multiple sources to one source

Quick question. I've installed the ROM just fine, however it seems that I have lost the ability to use my "Home" button. It simply does not function no matter what I've tried. I tried to toggle the functions on and off in the settings to no avail. Anyone have any advice for me? It just doesn't work anymore (the home button).

I can certainly look into that - it's just too bad that all apps don't offer changing the notification color as an option ...

As far as blowing away /system - it definitely makes it cleaner, ie. no duplicate messaging apps, etc - however, I am finding that it is the cause of the home and search buttons and lock screen disappearing - I have yet to see that issue, with a fresh SBF and then SSX 1.0. But as soon as I try an install where I kill /system - I lose those keys. A wipe/reset brings them back, but they disappear again later. For now - I will continue the same method of install. This will cause some issues for those coming from other ROMS - but I don't like losing home/search/lockscreen.

If you came from a previous ROM and not a fresh 2.3.15 SBF - that could be your fix. I do not clear /system with this install for reasons just posted up - I suspect that is causing your issues.

What link? Also - 4.9 is for the D1 - this is the SSX thread for the DX
