Handcent Messaging

I am using Handcent for my messaging. I really like the app; however, I get 2 messages. One from Handcent and one from the messaging app that comes on the phone. I have a motorola Droid. Any suggestions to stop the other messages (the one that is loaded on the phone when you buy it)?

many many many threads about this, read around. you have to go into your stock app and in it's settings uncheck the notifications box.

click stock messaging, menu, settings, uncheck notifications. Hope that helps.
