Handcent vs SMS Popup vs Go SMS

I really want to use GO SMS, but I noticed on my Droid1 when doing a quick reply from the popup and I use my physical keyboard, it does not enter a period (.) when hitting the space bar twice. Anyone else have this problem? or a solution?

I don't kno anything about GO SMS or the D1 but you can look for an option called "Auto-Punctuate" and enable in both your phone settings and GO SMS settings

I am running handcent, and my leds are on constantly. unfortunately it has been so long since I set it up I don't remember what I did to do it. But if I remember correctly it wasn't much.

I just switched to Handscent, even though I've only had the phone a couple of days. That being said, I've not had the chance to try any other, but I do like getting the pop-up, actually, despite the fact I may be in the middle of something else. Reason being; because I have all alerts, leds turned off so I may not actually check the messages until later.

Love Handcent. On D1 and most valuable features for me are turning my LED blue to show a text, and the popup is handy.

No reason for me to try Go, especially w/o the notifications.

Well after talking with a few other people, it seems as though the LED staying on constantly when recieving a text is a bug in the app itself. And it only seems to come out on certain ROMs.

I just downloaded handcent for sms but i cnt figure out where to turn off stock sms so im getting duplicates. Someone please help

You have to go to text messaging on your phone go to settings and turn off notifications.

I have a droid 2 and can't find where to turn off the notifications. When I got to text messageing it doesn't give me that type of options. Any more suggestions.

You go to stock text press menu (the 4 square button in case you didn't know) then go to notifocations and turn off.
