hanging up while on a call

has anyone had an issue with the phone hanging up while on a call, like if the wind blows, you turn your head, move your head in anyway?

The proximity sensor does have an issue with long hair. The only suggestions I recall reading about: 1) Hold hair out of the way, 2) press phone firmly against face during call, 3) use a bluetooth headset and 4) use the speakerphone option.

Good luck.

No, the issue was not addressed, at least not that I could tell. I was told it would not be included in the 2.1 update back in early March when I spoke with VZW and they looked at their notes on the (then) upcoming 2.1 release ... I held out hope that since they postponed the update, that maybe they were including a fix but I tried making calls after the update and had the same mute/cheek dial issue ...

Sorry! Again, the app I mentioned - Screen Suite - works perfectly at solving this issue.

Thanks Sherry, was curious if they fixed, because really this is the only reason I need this app. Just don't like running to many extra apps if I don't need to, but in this case it is needed. :)

Hanging up on calls because of sensory

I thought I was the only person with this problem. I tried the same thing as other users. I tried to press the power button to try to lock it but it doesn't do it. I still hang up on my calls.

I also tried pulling the phone faraway from my cheek..but due to human nature, the phone would automatically and unconsciously touch my cheek and it hangs up the calls.

Help DROID! what can we do to make it better?
The hanging up of calls are very inconvenient, especially when you are on an important business call.

I have heard about issues with the sensitivity of the sensors. A bluetooth device helps alot. I know it is annoying at times to pair it but it comes in handy so you can talk and text at the same time.

APP to stop the cheek hangup calls

Oh Thanks Papperrhino for recommending Screen Suite App! I love it.

I tried it out using the free trial, I love it. I'm gonna purchase it for $1.99.

People you can search for this app on your Markets, Screen Suite.

Love it! Thanks.

I love it as well. However yesterday the app did have an issue (due to a update I believe). I informed the developer and a new update came out today. I had two calls and no problem.

Droid loves to hang up on calls-now on my second droid

On most calls I end up hanging up on them or the keypad buttons start firing as my ear touches the Droid screen. People try to tell me it's the version network which it maybe but after using AT&T for years and never having dropped calls, have to think it's the Droid. Want to get rid of this phone. Really to bad because it has some great features, but as a phone it really sucks. What good is a phone that constantly hangs up on people or keeps hitting your ear firing the keypad buttons. Really sucks having a Droid, should of gotten an Iphone.
