I had to use "Droid Explorer" to find it.
I believe I have a file on my Droid in cache.
The file name is:
"bede60e851bb.signed-voles-FRG83D-fromFRG22D.bede60e8.zip"
dated: 12/06/2110.
The date matches when my requests for "System Update" started.
Could this be it?
I was on the pre-release "Soak" program.
Most of the time you have to uninstall the app in question and reinstall it from the market. Some did a cache clearing and/or awipe the system cache through recovery .
Some did a battery pull while its still powered on to help some issues.
I had Blueant ear bud issues that required un-pairing, resetting the devices, a live battery pull and then re-pairing. It worked.
Some reported less battery life but it was found to be the extra usage of reconfiguring the phone.
I find the phone to be a tad more responsive with the same battery life or better. Particularly the dialer keypad. Mine was horrid until now.
I just wanted to point out that I just received an OTA update stating that it updates gmail and syncing and many other improvments. I cannot post the update file because I am on my way to school
Original droid btw
Sent from my Droid using DroidForums App
I was trying to force the update. Someone posted that they successcully forced it using sprecovery and it did not break root so I had to try it. Sounded odd. Sure enough, the install failed. As soon as it rebooted I got the message from VZ that I had the OTA. Figured what the heck and let it try to install. Blocked by SpRecovery. Now just waiting for Pete to give us freedom of choice.
Anyone know? Is the OTA update file still on my phone somewhere?
