Have an Issue, Stock Phone, None Rooted (not hacked) Help Is Here !!

Ok i need loads of help and explanation.. My newly bought phone is stock and i have no plans in rooting it (taking in concern that rooting = jailbreaking).

I loaded marketplace and wanted to download some themes. It mentioned that i have to have GDE installed.

1 - how do i download GDE for my phone ?

2 - After downloading GDE, does that mean that i can just download and use the themes?

I search GDE in the market and up comes "GDE - New Home Experience" The description of the app and the developer's website is all listed there, as well as feedback by others.

I have totally no idea why mine does not pop up... this is so annoying... is it because of the different versions we are using? I am getting a little piss off with myself.

Just bought a Milestone (German release - azerty keyboard) a couple of day ago and all was just fine up until a couple of hours ago.
First i`v noticed that that my Wifi was not connecting: it showed "turning off" and that`s about it. In order to get it to work again, i have to reboot the phone. Then some randoom lockups, non-responsive touch, etc.
Then (some 30 minutes or so after), the phone start to run REALLY slow - it turned up that I had a TON of apps running in the background, even after I just restarted the phone.
So my fist thought was - ok, bad app installed. Just to be sure, I did a factory restore. But apparently that didn`t helped a bit. The phone is still un-usable, locking up, rebooting, and as I type I see that it entered Recovery Mode by itself ?!? (it was ON a couple of secs ago). The "Wireless & Network" section of Settings is inaccessible, and it gives me "Application Error - Activity Wireless & Network settings is not responding"
So .. now I got stuck with a half-bricked phone and no clue on what caused this OR how to fix it.
The phone is running 2.1, stock, non-rooted.

Any advice on this issue will be more than greatly appreciated.

I'd contact those who sold you the phone. From time to time people end up with a phone that has issues and it needs to be returned. It doesn't sound like its anything you did. If the store can reproduce the issue they'll swap you out for another one.

I have a question when I try to upload an image stored on my phone to an image hosting site, or when I tried to set an AV for this or any other forum, it says that uploading is disabled. Are there some setting I need to change on my phone?

Oh Noooo, I deleted the data in my apps on Moto Droid

OMG! My O.C.D. got the best of me and I went and cleared all the data in most of my apps. I haven't noticed any problems but this is all so new to me so maybe I just don't know what to look for.
Anyway's, when I go to manage apps now, there are a few listed with 0 storage, such as Android System, says 0.00B, Live Wallpaper,Google Search, Market Updater, Bluetooth Share and a few other apps.
Can you help me please? :icon_eek:

Whenever I go to my stock or 3d gallery I get the force close message. I am cought in the loop and have to shut down/restart my phone (droid 2.1) I read somewhere that you have to do a system reset...can someone help me

Help Help Please

I have recently purchased an HTC Incredible. I have somehow forgot my gmail account id and password and have tried unlocking my screen to many times and my phone is now locked and no way to get in.
The local verizon store said I had to go back to the store that I bought it from.(350 miles away to get it unlocked. Please can anyone help?

removing messages from phone desktop

I have only had my Motorola Droid for a week and thoroughly love it, so I was very concerned when, after downloading a battery widget app and deciding that it was not what I was looking for and uninstalling it, I now have a message on my phone desktop that says ""Problem loading widget"! How do I get this off of my phone? Thanks so much!

Nurse, just hold your finger down on the widget untill it vibrates, then drag it down to the trashcan at the bottom of the screen.

have anyone heard of games problem issue?!
Some of my games (robo defence, frozen bubbles, etc...) I own and played those games for over a month then recently outta from no where whenever I open them they are too big (its like I have zoomed to top left) so I just see top left on a full screen but very big and can't see anything else offcurse. I am on moto droid stock and I tried all the normal methods: repoot, remove battery, uninstall all the games and reinstall. please help!

Screen Troubles

Hello, Rescue Squad!
I've owned my Motorola Droid for a couple months now, and I really love the device. However, today I've been having some screen trouble. When attempting to unlock the phone, it occasionally doesn't register my touch at all. When it does, I can unlock it, but then the homescreen shakes as if I were moving it left and right rapidly, even though I'm not touching the screen. If this doesn't happen, I lose responsiveness to any touches, including the back/home/menu/search keys. I've tried multiple reboots and removing the battery, and neither works. Currently, I've plugged it into my charger and it seems to be working fine. I've had this problem before, but a simple reboot solved it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I just posting for good measure. I had a problem with the stock os (on 2.0.1 and 2.1) thinking my battery was almost dead (this happened at random times) when i had only just taken it off the charger. This happened when i was not using the device and between 5 min and 3 hours after unplug. It would go from full to reading 5%. A small glitch. Not sure if this is a known issue. O well running ssv4.4 now.
