ok, got to the bootloader, but don;t know what to do from there....I was using that same giude to try and SBF the phone before, but got stuck when I couldn't install the zip from the SD card, I got an error msg that the card couldn;t mount...

well this would be much simpler if i could talk you through it but ok. your in bootloader mode... did you install rsd and the usb drivers?

they are downloaded onto my laptop, don't know how to get them onto the phone

ok so you need to install the usb drivers and the rsd to your laptop. just unzip the files. then you should be able to open the rsd program on your laptop. and its no problem i was in your shoes less than 2 months ago.

rsd is up on the laptap, but I don't think it is "seeing" my phone (have it in bootloader mode with the USB connected, screen on phone says 'USB' when i connect it

my file has .sbf at the end....t
