I think a lot of these 4G issues are VZW related and not the phone, 4G/LTE is going through some growing pains right now. Took 8 hours for activation on my Nexus on Dec. 28th when I bought it due to VZW working on some new 4G towers in my area. My GN is an amazing phone for the most part, no phone is going to be perfect but right now IMO this is the device to have.
