How many people in line at your VZW store?

I was there about 8:30am... truthfully thought they opened at 9am instead of 10.

When I showed up there was 1 guy sitting in a lawn chair at the door. I was #2.

By 9:30am there was probably 20-25 people in line... the vzw guy came out early and made a list of names/numbers so they could be ready at 10. Inside there must have been 10 reps at least... 6 or so standing at the counter ready for orders and 4 opening doors, smiling, etc.

So, all told, there were about 25 people in line at the VZW store in Lynwood, Washington.

How long was the line at your store? Did it sell out yet?

my store opened at 8 am and had done 43 upgrades as of 11 am

when i drove by our store at 7:30 this morning (it's on my way to work) there were two people sitting in their cars out front (store opens at 9)... and it's the main store in a pretty highly populated area

I arrived exactly at opening time (10am) at the kiosk at the mall. I was the last of about 20 customers looking for the X. Luckily I had arranged earlier in the week to pick one up so I had my name on one.

I was in at about 10:45 (would have been earlier but I had no idea I was eligible for an upgrade) and the first rep I talked to said I couldn't have one from their stock unless I was opening a new line. I accepted that and ordered. The guy that checked me out lied and said they'd sold the 30 they had in stock.

I don't know how Verizon franchising works but are they supposed to do that? Can they deny existing customers? They did the same thing when I got my Droid (both stores in town) and it irked me but I didn't make a stink about it.

I woke up at around 7:30, drove by, and nobody was there, so i slept again untill 8:30, got there roughly at 8:40-8:45, and there were about 10 people, after i showed up, around 5-10 more people showed up, and we all went in. They offered us bottled water, and all that jazz, like we were gonna be parched, hahahaha. Anyways, my store sold out within an hour. Glad i know people that work there!

Store in Temecula, Ca opened at 7 got there at 6am and was already number 4 inline. When I left the store around 8 there was still a good sized line outside of about 20 people. One of my buddies works there and said out of 100 at opening they had maybe 20 left when he went on break around 10.


He said UPS was bringing more to his location around 12 noon he didn't know how many more though

coral springs florida, got there around 10:00, 2 people being serviced and 6 or 7 salespeople. walked right up to the counter with no wait. I don't know how many people were there at opening, but as I was leaving, I heard a saleperson telling a caller that they only had 4 X's left

My store opened at 9:00. When I got there at 8:30 I was 5th in line. When I left at around 9:30 there were around 20 people in the store and they only had 20 X's from what I heard.

10 just prior to opening but then when I turned around with it in hand the store was flooded...

I made a point of driving by my VZW store on the way to work to see if there was a line. There wasn't so I thought, hey this will be quick. When I walked in I forgot that they had recently doubled the size of the store and it was mobbed inside. I got a piece of paper with a number on it and waited. But I was out the door after about 45 minutes. That included the amount of time it took to place a screen protector on the phone lol.

I heard the manager say they had 18 people in line when they opened the door waiting for them to open.

When i got there 45 minutes after they opened they took my name and put me in a list of Droid X folks and i was number 16

First guy was there at 7:00 for 9:00 opening. When they opened, there were ~25 people in line.
The rep kept trying to tell me how to use it, which apps to get and so on. Just give me the phone MAN!

i went to the store in the mall by me (staten island mall) i got there at 8:30am thinking the mall opened at 9 but it didnt open till ten,the doors were still open for the old people to walk around so i went in and only one person was waiting by the store i was number 2....the store didnt open till 10 by the time it opened there was 5 people on line but only 3 people got the DX as far as i know

Phoenix, AZ ... Strolled in to Verizon store about noon. Said they started with 60 X's. They had eggzactly 2 left. I wasn't planning to buy one, thought it would be too big for me, but liked it so much that I came home and called Verizon and ordered one. They are overnighting it to me free. I paid full retail so didn't have to bust my contract. I made some nice $ trading in the stock market recently -- seemed like a nice place to drop some of it. I'm sick of contracts.

Looking forward to getting the X tomorrow. The thing was snot fast. I played with the Incredible next to it, and it wasn't near as fast. Can't wait to see how fast it is after it gets 2.2 update!
