Who had a line outside their Verizon store?

When the doors opened there were 6 for the Nexus where I was at. And soon after the store was opened there were more. I think they were going to do well today. I used to be in sales and I would go crazy with how slow the process is to sell a phone. Their computers are silly slow. I would want to get a sale wrap it up and move on. I'm sure the first batch of us took somewhere around 20 - 30 minutes. And none of us wanted to even see the phone, we just said ring us up.

That's nuts. I woke up and got to the store about an hour or so after they opened and got mine no problem. Gal who sold mine said there were three people lined up outside this morning

My store opened up at 10 in the morning. I read stories about eastcoast people heading to their stores early, so I decided to do the same. About an hour before opening, I saw no cars at the VW parking lot so I went and got breakfast at McD's next door, with a clear view of the parking lot. I took my time eating and when I finished, about 30 minutes before opening, I drove to the parking lot, there was 1 other person waiting. So I started playing MK7. About 20 minutes to go about half a dozen of cars started parking at the lot, so I got nervous. "Should I jump out and stand by the doors now?!" Turns out that they were just the employees.

I finished a "Cup" in MK7, 15 minutes to go, I donned my gear and then headed to the store. I was first in line. By the time they opened the doors, there 7 people behind me. And by the time I was finished, there was no line at the door and there weren't alot of people in the store.

I got to my store about 40 minutes before they opened. I was first in line .

By the time the store opened, there were about a dozen people in line, and all but one was getting the Nexus. Pretty decent turnout for absolutely zero publicity or hype.

I was first in line. 30 minutes early and only about 20 people behind me

One thing that sucked for me is when I went to exchange my resound the rep said I needed the original box and all the papers. I started to panic thinking I lost the box. I drove back home and tore my closet and managed to find the original box. Thank god my wife saves everything!

1 thing that was weird though when they transferred my phone to the nexus my unlimited data plan dropped and they had to call customer service to get it fixed. Did this happen to anyone else?

My store had 3 people including me waiting before they opened. No idea if any more showed up once they opened the doors cause all I was worried about was getting my Nexus :)

I think in mine, by the time I left, there had to have been around 10 people waiting around. Most of them were there for the Nexus while 1 guy brought in his tablet that was having some problems. One guy wanted a Nexus but freaked out when the lady working there told him it would be about 40 minutes until he would be helped (8 other people in front of him). Overall it wasn't as bad as I thought, I was hoping I wouldn't be the only one because then I'd feel like a nerd being the only one when they opened :P

I showed up at one of the stores in my area 15 minutes before they were supposed to open at 9am. Turns out the internet listed hours were wrong. At 9:05am, I beat feet and drove 20 miles to the next store that did open at 9am. Got there at 9:45am. No lines. About 3 people in the store. A young lady just got done taking care of another customer and asked me if I needed any help. Said, "Yep, need a Nexus and a cheap flip phone." She showed me some cheap phones and then went back to get my phone. She said I was the first one to purchase a Nexus. Got me all set up and I was out the door. How I managed to get home without getting into a wreck is beyond me. I do have to say, the accessories were nowhere to be found at either VZW store or the BB I hit on the way home. Wanted a car dock and maybe a screen protector, but no go. All three said, "Maybe next week we'll get some stuff." Oh well...

There was a constant line in Mt. View, California. I expected a bit of a rush as Google is about 2 minutes up the street from the store. They predicted running out before lunch. Glad I went early.
