Are you talking about something different than the guide you posted in this thread? The guide at the top of this thread is the latest I see and that's from a few days ago. Did you do something new?

I've tried to install safestrap like 10 different times. Everytime i try and install it it force closes on me. am i doing something wrong or?

Just installing the apk or installing the strap itself?

The APK installs just fine and then i go into my app drawer and I try and open it and it force quits immediately. I went into my settings and checked in the applications menu and it is version 1.0.4. Is there something else i could try? (everytime i've uninstalled it i've cleared the data beforehand)

It doens't show up in superuser and no Safestrap is the first bootstrap i've ever tried on my D3

Did you use petes Motorola tools to root?

And have you rebooted the phone since you have been trying this?

Yes I used Pete's motorola tools to root.
And yes I've tried installing it rebooting and trying to run the apk but that doesn't work and i've rebooted between each install/unistall.

Do you have root explorer?

Asking because you may have to uninstall and then remove some files and try again.

Are you using any other root enabled programs that verify you in fact do have root?

Yes I have root explorer and I am using drocap for screen shots which requires root access

Ok. Have you tried running it immediately after it force closes? It only happens once its open and you hit install safestrap right?

Yes immediatley after i try and open safestrap it force closes. I then go back and try and hit the application icon again to start it however I get the same force close notice.
I have never gotten past the safestrap loading screen because it force closes immediately.
I've downloaded the apk form hascode's site directly onto my phone, i have tried putting it through dropbox to no avail. I download the APK install it and right when i hit open it force closes

Ok.

Uninstall the apk.
Go into superuser and remove the entry for d3safestrap.
Reinstall and make it re request su.
