HTC Slams Galaxy S4 Event and Device; Calls it "Next Big Flop"

Samsung is the most innovative?!?!? I saw it above but I'm not sure where that came from.

We have Moto to thank for pushing battery sizes up. We have HTC to thank for pushing phone cameras and audio forward. We have Samsung to thank for pushing 2GB of RAM in phones and bringing split screen operation for some apps to phones - I hope base Android (Key Lime Pie?) will feature an implementation of this sometime soon. While Samsung has contributed I definitely wouldn't say they're the most innovative. I think they have the best marketing in the Android camp and the Galaxy S3 was a great product. They had a lot of bad products before hand missing things like notification lights, and having a bad track record with GPS. Don't give Samsung too much credit.

I'm so glad you didn't say Apple after your first sentence. Or anywhere in your statement. Lol

HTC is simply trying to get their name in the spotlight and using Samsung to do it. It's like when some no-talent local radio show attacks Howard Stern, hoping that Howard will go after them on the air, thus broadcasting their show's name to the millions of listeners that they would otherwise never have access to.

Even bad press is better than no press when your ship is going down faster than a Clinton intern...

Apple has yet to innovate with mobile devices. I had app stores on my Windows Mobile devices long before the iPhone. Icons have been on desktops long before the iPhone. The idea of using your finger on a mobile device wasn't new either as there were apps and custom UI's for Windows Mobile made with that in mind. Capacitive screens just were not there yet but that was on its way without Apple for sure. We even had proprietary charging/data cords before the iPhone.

HTC is getting ready to eat their own words.
The iPhone sold zillions but has been a terrible mobile device since day one. The HTC One is a great device. Some hate blinkfeed but I'm not sure it's worse than the slew of customizations Samsung adds. I'll take the split screen though. I hope that makes it into Key Lime Pie. Hopefully HTC will release an update for the One that will make it easy to completely disable BlinkFeed and make it a normal home screen instead. I think they would see a sales jump if they did that. BlinkFeed looks like a power, memory (ok, who cares about that with 2GB), and data hog to me and I'd rather not have it.
