HTC To Apple: First!

Until now, HTC has been mum about the whole Apple patent lawsuit. First Google had their back, then the Apple vs. Google thing heated up, but now we finally hear what HTC has to say and its a beautiful thing. They basically look the world in the eye and say, “Listen, we are innovators. We have been the first on many innovations in the past, we’ll continue to be first on many innovations in the future, and you bozos aren’t going to use scare tactics and legal shenanigans to prevent our innovations from reaching the masses.”
Of course that quote comes from me, but that’s my opinion of the press release’s stance. You can read the full press release below and provide your own opinion:

HTC DISAGREES WITH APPLE’s Actions
Seattle – March 17, 2010 – HTC Corporation today outlined its disagreement with Apple’s legal actions and reiterated its commitment to creating a portfolio of innovative smartphones that gives consumers a variety of choices. “HTC disagrees with Apple’s actions and will fully defend itself. I like that response… classy. Or should I say, “Quietly Brilliant”? Kind of ironic since their former tagline was “Innovation” and now they’re being sued for allegedly borrowing technology instead of innovating themselves, so they issue a press release reminding everyone how innovative they are. I don’t know – kind of funny if you ask me.

As moto droid (or any Android phone) owners we need to worry about this big time.

With a win, it will set legal standards when it comes to this. Apple will have legal right to bring successful lawsuits against just about any touchscreen device manufacturers, especially Motorola and LG.

Many of the pieces of the lawsuit seem to be going after Android O/s features which means if successful Google will either get sued or they will have to stop producing the Android.

Also... the lawsuit says that HTC will no longer be able to produce phone's for the US which will be another blow to the Android market since HTC is making some of the best Android phones out there.

We are in trouble if this is successful.

You are wrong here sorry.... you don't have a clue what this is all about do you?

You do know there is a reason android is open source right? You do know the head of google was in bed with the head of apple right? You do know this is all politics between google and apple right? You do know that apple can't go after google due to it being an open source (FREE) OS right? Going after someone for patent infringement is all about money.
