i want to root an ally

any good info or is the one step rootall a hoax?downloaded gingerbreak onto phone undocked sd card but cant seem to locate the download hmmmmm

If you go on to androidforums.net they have a guide on how to root. I followed these steps and rooted my Ally in about 5 minutes. Pretty fail safe. This process will put the velocity 1.2 rom on there I believe.

No I don't think so. The utility that you download does everything for you. You might just wanna download rom manager if you're gonna be flashing different roms.

I don't think you can have gingerbreak on the SD. I rooted my old LG ally using gingerbreak. That's the only one-click root that worked for me.
