I was looking at old threads, and I guess the Bionic really IS a piece of junk.......

I wasn't a first day Bionic adopter but have had it since September. I went from fan to hater because of data issues. .902 fixed that for me. During the time I was having data problems, I complained enough that VZW gave me a Rezound but paid to keep the Bionic. I recently put the Rezound away and brought the Bionic back out due the bad battery life of the Rezound. Since bringing the Bionic out of early retirement I rooted it, froze the bloatware, added JD and the phone lives up to its name because it is a machine! ! The speeds are comparable to the Rezound and battery life is out of this world! Next I need to learn about ROMs and kernels to take it to the next level! Sorry, have to disagree with you.

Unfortunately, virtually all ROM developers have abandoned the Bionic for more Dev. friendly platforms like Samsung and HTC w/ unlocked bootloaders. As far as Kernels go ... forget that too. At least until the Bionic Bootloader is unlocked -- if ever. :/

No kernel action yet. As far as the stock battery, it is crazy how long it lasts!

I agree and disagree to these posts and replies!

Agree: A lot of people bought the Bionic and saw lots of posts saying that they return it

Disagree: It's a pretty good phone!

I think the Bionic is great. If someone thought the Razr might actually shave your beard when they were drunk, does that automatically mean it sucks since it doesn't? Please. Your logic is a joke.

What else so you want these "PHONES" to do?
Wipe your butt?
It's a dang phone, no matter what kind of lipstick you add on to these things.
The telcos are making a ton of money off of us over the need to have to have the latest and greatest over something that was the latest and greatest two months ago. Get a life.

If people spent as much on just learning about the phone and actually trying to think for themselves as they did complaining I bet we'd see far fewer of these threads. It's quite annoying, really. I got my Bionic a few months ago and it had some data issues but 901 and 902 solved it almost outright. This phone is lightyears beyond my old D1 and as said previously, in the end, it's still just a phone. Everything else is just an entertainment factor. And to be blunt about it, the bootloader is somewhat irrelevant for customization. I have safestrap and am running liberty rom and am as happy as can be.
