ICS 6.16.206 Stock Blur leak

Gangrif said:
I used safestrap's app to remove safestrap. It's gone (well, appears to be gone anyway).

Rebooting doesnt present me with my safestrap option anymore.

I checked /system/bin with root explorer. I have logwrawpper and logwrapper.bin. Are you saying that logwrapper.bin should _not_ be there?

No u have to edit logwrapper.bin to logwapper an delete the logwrapper above it if u look to the right in small lettering u can see hijack thats why u need to delete it cuz its safe straps logwrapper an the logwrapper.bin is the the stocks one just renamed to logwrapper.bin by safe strap so the system cant access it an has to access the safestraps copy

Yeah cuz it rewrites the system to stock which was unneeded work just follow my steps to manually edit the files that the safestrap edits

Ok, so re-flash of 219 un-necessary (good).

So, can you clarify your directions?

I have logwrapper, and logwrapper.bin. Should one or the other no longer exist? From your directions, it sounds like i should delete logwrapper, and then rename logwrapper.bin to logwrapper. Correct?

Correct delete logwapper an rename logwrapper.bin to logwrapper

I booted back into non-safe system, removed recovery, and uninstalled safestrap. Then I deleted logwrapper and renamed logwrapper.bin to logwrapper. Rebooted, did everything listed on the ICS installation thread and the verification part failed. I'm just going to fastboot and start with a clean system, this should work.

Ok hmmm idk why it didnt work for u u said it was a system verification failure not system verification failure logwrapper?

It didn't mention anything about logwrapper verfication failure. No big deal though, I'm downloading fastboot files (huge) then I'll RSDlite it.

Something about verifying the prior system. I freaked out and rebooted right away fearing my phone might be bricked. Sorry this isn't that helpful. I can try again.

Ok, I'm home from work now and gave your method a shot. Did the logwrapper juggling, and I'm having the same issue.

I boot into stock recovery (vol up + vol down + power from an off state, vol down to recovery, vol up to select...)

Install update from sdcard, select the update I downloaded for 206.

It first verifies the update package, that succeeds.
Then it attempts to verify the current system and fails there.
