My verification failed twice. I am pure stock - phone one month old. So guess I'll just stay on GB. Their solution right now is factory reset. That is bull. You should not have to wipe the whole phone to an update. They are "working" on it. I think I'll wait till they are done working on it.....unless I have died from old age by then. Lots of posts about the verification failing.

You shouldn't have to. But stuff goes wrong. That's life. There are easy ways to keep your stuff though. Just back everything up. Then when it's all done your phone still has everything on it

I wouldn't know where to even start. How do you reactivate it? Just went thru all this crap a month ago of installing everything.

Reactivation is automatic. Enable contacts sync with your google account. Apps can be backed with an app from google play. Same with text messages. Photos & videos can be moved to a computer or sd card. Then it's just a matter of setting up your accounts again. A quick google search may find a faster way. But it can be done

Well just checked the Motorola forum. Matt had posted that those with the failed verification who did not do the FDR try again. Mine is installing. So whatever change they did apparently works. The jury is still out on the complete install since its not even halfway thru yet. But if you got that error and did not FDR, try it again.

It was smooth and successful. So apparently they did find the glitch. Didn't take them long either. :icon_ banana:

Walked my mom through the update at about 7:30 PM tonight here in Garner.

She is rocking the new update with no problems, it did however Sync all of her facebook contacts without asking.

She did not have the sync for facebook enabled before the update.

Have your Mom select the Contacts *people* button in the lower/mid part of her screen. From there hit the menu button, and select "Contacts to display". I used my gmail account which cleared this same issue with the upgrade.

Pulled update ( So. Maryland) , dnload and install took about 10 min no issues

Look in the market place for LTE on/off for Thunderbolt- it works with the Razr.
