6.16.212 KERNEL HERE: http://d-h.st/etp

DROID 4 owners: We have a new leak.

6.16.211 will be posted here soon! Hang tight!

As of 7:32pm on 6/18: Still downloading!

Would this be updated from .208 to .211 the same way .206 went to .208? And would we keep root?

I guess we won't know until someone does it. :)

Ill take care of the kernel like I did last time. The rooting method that has been released SHOULD work, I never used it to root, I stayed unrooted.

Sweet!!

Well that's been a fun three days on .208 lol

OK I have a problem it will be at least another hour before I get the upload started. I lost the file and am redownloading it now.

Sorry! Lol.

Sweet, but not surprised since the last build was about three weeks ago! Are you still on GB? If not how are downloading?

Apparently the Razr is getting a build of the same number, some claim its an official test being pushed out.

Im on ICS, I am using one of my other phones to get it. It may be official as it is rolling to Razr beta testers now.

I read through the Razr 211 leak thread, some people said there are random force closes, camera not always working, and data is spotty. A couple others suggested to let the phone settle for a day then it gets back to normal, and someone got great battery life out of 211.

Also, a lot of people were getting errors during the install but after multiple attempts it does work. Rooting also works on it too but it takes a few attempts (maybe Moto is trying to figure out a way to block the existing ICS root method).

I'll wait a couple days to see how 211 works on the D4 before jumping in this time.

Did you use this guide here and maintained root?

Here are the new instructions for 208:

1. Download:

a. Rarz Utility https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22291559/droid4/DroidRAZRUtility1.6_for_droid_4.7z
b. Unstick Utility https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22291559/droid4/unstuck
c. 208 Update https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B5YH1w-_H3yCNDRHLXY4RkRaNVU
d. 208 Kernel https://www.box.com/s/0b8f9590b2611ae748c6

2. Unzip Razr Utility, Unstick Utility, and the 208 Update.

3. Copy Blur_Version.6.13.219.XT894.Verizon.en.US.zip to your external SD card.

4. Rename the 208 Kernel (boot208d4.img) to boot206.img and place it in the "files" folder of the Unstuck ICS folder which you unzipped.

5. Open the Droid Razr (D4)Utility

6. Turn your phone off, & then turn it back on holding VOL DWN and PWR to boot into AP Fastboot

7. Select Fastboot to .181 (.219) in the Utility & follow the onscreen directions. You will see a lot of Fail messages and it will take around 10 minutes to complete.

You are now on what we coined "Psuedo-.181" - some weird hybrid of GB and ICS files. Your phone will not boot at this point.

8. Go back into AP fastboot (see step 6)

9. Open the unstick ICS tool

10. Choose the 206 kernel (it will really be 208 since you replaced it in step 4).

11. Let it install, and reboot.

12. Turn your phone off, and Hold VOL DOWN + VOL UP + PWR, then use VOL DWN to go to "Recovery" and VOL UP to select it

13. You will get the Android with a red exclamation point. Press VOL DWN + VOL UP to bring up the menu.

14. Navigate to "Apply update from external SD"

15. Select the Blur_Version.6.13.219.XT894.Verizon.en.US.zip file you placed on your external SD card.

*IF IT FAILS THE FIRST TIME, TRY THIS PARAGRAPH AGAIN*

Now you're on 208. To root:

16. Download http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1126925&d=1339581696

17. Unzip it.

18. Connect your phone to the computer.

19. Make sure you have USB Debugging and the phone is in Camera mode, not mass storage device.

20. Run rootscript.bat.

21. Reboot.

22. Download the Superuser apk from the market and install it.

Now you have rooted ICS!

Those are pretty much the instructions but I put all that stuff into one tool a couple of days ago here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-4-hacks/212307-droid-4-utility-updated.html

O
nce we get the 211 OTA and the kernel set I will update the tool.

Im downloading the new leak again now. I will build and post the kernel, and the instructions to go from .200 > .206 and .206 > .208 should work to go from .208 to .211.

Ill post both and you can have fun with them :p

I'm on cm9 and am comfortable with flashing and such. Which do you think would be better to be on? And if its better to be on the leak, do I need to go back to stock first to get on the leak?
