I know I haven't seen anyone from the west coast Washington, Oregon,Cali get it yet. I'm from Washington and haven't received the message or any update yet.

Upgraded to the maxx from rooted droid x last week for just the $30.00 activation charge and love the phone so far even without ics. But still patiently waiting for the update here in jersey.

I received the OTA at 3 am this morning. Lost my root in the process, tried Motofail, and tried using DroidRAZRUtility1.6 to no avail. Did a google search on "root your droid razr maxx ICS" and stumbled on this page:

Unless Verizon has changed their policy OS updates are purely random. There is no pattern, either purchase date or location -- that determines the update schedule.

Apparently you do not. If you look at Terry M's post at the end of page 29 on this thread. They were rooted and got the update and lost root.
