If Galaxy Nexus is a bust what phone will you get?

the d1 has two different keyboard styles. each phone is different. my first phone (defected battery) had the flat keyboard, which i hated. and my newer (still old:D) has the bumps. i like the bumps much more

Yeah, I know people have said the 2nd version was better, I must have the original version and it's god awful.

I'm really undecided about screen size. I love the looks of a larger screen and it definitely has its uses. At the same time though, I also think, it is just a phone. I'm mostly going to text, make calls, check facebook / twitter, listen to music, and occaisionally look something up on the web. Do I really need / want a huge screen for that? I could always just whip out my iPad if I'm looking for a larger display. I also thought, well 4g is probably awesome, but, I'm rarely in an area with 4g coverage, but am mostly always in an area with wifi access. Usually when I'm not in access of wifi is when I'm driving, and obviously I shouldn't be using the phone then anwyays aside from navigation / music, both of which have never given me an issue with 3g.

Widgets are pretty meh to me. The only one I've consistently kept on my home screen is the power control widget to turn Wifi on and off as it feels to me like my battery is better if I only turn Wifi on when I'm going to connect to wifi otherwise it is constantly searching for Wifi.

Either way, I think either phone will do what I need and both will do it very well, its just going to be about size / feel.

thats the thing about the galaxy nexus. its just a phone, the reason we want it so much is because its new and because it hasnt come out yet. "you want what you cant have". ive said this many times on this forum- "The galaxy nexus will not live up to the wait"

I don't think any phone lives up to "the wait". We really haven't been waiting that long for the Nexus either, was supposed to be out November 17th in the UK, so we're barely behind them. Hype is all created by us, it will live up to my expectations because I don't fall for the hype.

It's going to live up to mine too, it's like the OG's big brother. Only difference was the OG was built like a tank and the G-Nex is more like a hummer.

exactly. thats a better way of putting it. it wont live up to the hype, but it will live up to/exceed the expectation.

more like a nissan leaf.

Now that rezound is looking like its about to get s-off, that will be my second choice. Or maybe even first. Seems like its had fewer issues than g-nex already.
Though I may have an opportunity for a really cheap t-bolt off contract, which would allow me to wait for the next big thing.

I will go with the Rezound as a backup and hope that it gets Cyanogen support.

Sent from my EVO 3D

I have the bionic now and even though it needs a update badly I will stick with it until something really worth it comes out

in comparison to the OG this is spot on and hilarious :D

I am also worried that this is spot on, I am trying to be positive though as I need a new phone if the D4 comes out on the same day I may go for this instead.

Once again waiting on the reviews before I jump from my OG.

I messed with a SGS2 today again.

I really want this phone on Verizon. That would be perfect.

But I guess Gnex will do.

way too close to CES to pick. Will wait until I walk the floor and see what they have at the VZW/QC/NVidia booth!!
