Increase Battery Life? You can help Team Liberty!

do i need to do the battery drain and everything if i just plan on installing it and using it and not reporting my statistics to you? or is it something that i have to do for it to work properly
Why would you do that? Kejar put this up so that he could get statistical information...this int exactly a fix..or not in my mind since he hasnt done a "proper" release, and you still "technically" need to run it in "Stock Liberty" to get the full benefit...

I got about 8 hours of use until the unit shut itself off. I see no difference after applying this tweak.

Ok so I just downloaded this last night ... charged to full ...and in the morning ... I wiped stats and all ... and unplugged at 7:30 ... and its 12:07 and I've texted two people ... and visited the droid forums and I'm at 60% battery ... I think the problem is the email ... but idk.. someone please help!

Well with the exception of the display your top three say you aren't using your phone much... so basically your had dlbattery life if the problem of the programs that run without you using. Also the syncing programs.

change theme will it delete battery tweak

If I install a new theme will that delete the battery tweak? Do I have to install battery tweak after every theme? Just curious because when I installed a theme the battery circle changed with the theme....

It wont delete the tweak, it will change the icons though, and you wont be in the test group any more...

The battery patch containes 2 files.
build.prop (changes the wifi scan interval from 1.5mins to 2.5 mins)
and famework-res.apk, which contains changes supposed to help battery life (You'd have to do a file compare or ask Kejar for details if you want more info...)

Applying a theme will replace the framework-res.apk (which is why Kejar specifically advised NO THEMES during this test.. if you've applied ANY theme after you applied the patch, then you're not getting the benefits of the patch.

To stop using the patch, just install a theme, it will over-write the patch's framework-res, and you're set.

HTH!

this is the explanation i got when iasked that

im assuming hes talking about auto sync. which i control with the stock power control widget. 4th spot. two arrows that form a circle.

If i use the power control widget and shut off the sync will that only effect gmail or other things to?

Will gmail then only update when I open it? This shouldn't effect my google voice text messages right?
