Inverted apps... what's missing?

Round 2 i got a bit further.. i can login and such.. everything black.. theni go to open a contact and FC. Trying option 3 now.

OPtion 3 only let me say yes to the TOS and then FC's...lol ok option 4. If that doesn't work, I am gonig to have to think really hard about an option 5...lol

lol... you arent the one being the hassle, Yahoo is. Or apk manager.. one of em. Option 4 FC's when trying to open the app so im going to sit here and ponder this for a few minutes.

I did it the same way 3 times in row it worked the 3rd time till I rebooted then it went back to the green/white. I even treid freezing market updater with ti backup didn't stop it from updating. I dont get how it still updated but it did


Damn even deleting data from applications/manage apps/all still dont help that usually lets me make ones that fc work

Disregard this if you've already done this, but, have you tried, 1. checking to make sure there isn't a market / vending apk (forget the exact name.. com.blabla) in your data/app folder, and 2. Deleting the corresponding folder in data/data/ that is something like com.android.vending... or similar? (not the updater). ?

I know that's where the updates are pushed, since they're not pushed to the /system/ folder.
If this is common knowledge, I'll edit down comment

Yeah I did that. Had my Droid since first month released. I thennmoved on to incredible then now im on Droid X.
Have a Motorola xoom 10 inch tablet on its way too.
600$ with upgrade discount I was elegible for.

I noticed today that the mail app you themed was also updated and when I put the themed one in I cant open IM. I got the unthemed yahoo mail update and both are working again but are stock looking. Damn yahoo. I also have the update for vido messaging installed.

So now its Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger? lol awesome...

I tried this at home and got the same thing and verified by asking other people that my apk manager works fine so I am guessing there is something in one of the xmls I edited that it doesnt like. So, I have made a folder on my desktop and stuck all my edited xmls in it. I put all the stock ones back into the app now and I am going to shove them back in one by one till something breaks.

MAD.. test this out.. its a system app right now so you may need to get rid of the stock one... this is far from done. As I stated, I gotta find what Yahoo isn't liking... right now this will be colors.xml styles.xml drawables.xml and about 10 images. I want to make sure values work before i move onto the layout folder but, you use the app a lot so I need you to try and break it..lol update.zip style..... CW for a D1


Also, all i need to know is if it FC's at all doing anything.

EDIT: just for testing sake I matched up your update.zip with the one I usually use when I use update.zip method for installing. Yours works fine on the DroidX. so I just know put yours into system where you suggested. It looks the same still on this droidX. Could it be my framework or jar file thats effecting that since this is a rom not stock droidX android anymore.

On another note the rom I am using is the fastest of any i've used. I mean its not a huge speed difference and they all end up with lag from time to time its just how android works.
After a few days without phone reboot and lots of usage or hacking or toying with replacing apks or watching h264 on my LCD via dx's HDMI out

on here I cheat and make sure I run non-themed same version then drop themed on top and it will crash usually I then delete data in application/control apps/all [in whichever app I messed with] on my x its in data still

Don't worry about that white on white.. i set the font to white but didn't edit the image yet. Now that I see what it looks like though, i believe i know which one it is.

Wish I could figure out why I cant get apkmanager on this older p4 3.4 ghz 2gb ram, its nothing special but I would think its fast enough to do that.

Edit I updated 2 pic's. I really love the devider line. goes well with TheBowers's widgets I run all over my phones

Thanks man! I've always wanted to do seperators but that was the first time in any app I've ever done it. Now, if i could just get the rest of the app to work..lol

OK, this is the latest iteration. No new xml edits but i went to town on some images. I am going to give credit to eiker83 on that. Somehow the guides got lost and I had to stick them back on but he went thru and edited them for me yesterday.

This will also tell me if that white on white issue is solved or if it is hidden in an xml. Also, say goodbye to purple.

I do see the b on b. Nice that Yahoo clearly sticks the names of the screen your on up at the top. now i know thats in conversations xml's.

Please test the first one if you haven't already and this one doesnt work.. im tossing xmls back in...
I am going to name the xmls I edited and stuck back in and you can guess wheer they are at to test them... Hopefully it's just an xml and not apk manager being stupid about editing the layout folder.

recent_messages_item.xml - recent messages?
report_problem.xml - i assume theres somewhere to report problems
settings.xml - soft menu key settings?
status_header.xml - hopefully changes the part where it says if you are away, available, invisible, etc..
synca_enable.xml - no clue
tos.xml - Terms of Service Screen

If that all works, we only have 26 xmls to stick back in. Maybe 6 at a time until I get them all but the contacts ones in since I personally know one of them is being diffcult.
