Is 3.14.605.5 the latest ICS?

I never got that far. It gave me those 5 options that I listed, that was the first thing. Not knowing what to choose, I chose fastboot. It started booting up that's when I got stuck in the loop. It was not rooted or unlocked, just stock. Memory card was not encrypted (as far as I know). Yep, it was for sure was the correct name and I put it in the root SD card.

I'm guessing my only option now is a factory reset. ><

Not sure, I am surprised it asked you about fast boot after it was turned off in settings. I am not real familiar with the ROM updating process, I did see in another forum that you could try to boot to recover, factory reset and then doing the custom rom again. I wouldn't take this from me since I have never done it before and there are many on the board who are better qualified to answer the question than I am. Is this your first custom ROM?

I downloaded the file to my phone. It's on my external sd. Do I take the .zip off when I rename it?

This is the file now.

NO, when I did mine yesterday it started, asked me to press the vol + button to start the process and then went to town. I saw it reboot once and then continue with the upgrade. I left it alone and went to a meeting for about an hour, came back and had ICS on my Rezound.

I think I know the problem. I put the zip file on the phone storage as opposed to the SD card. <facepalm>

Did you follow my instructions, if you did once you got in the screen you are talking about the update process starts by itself, you Must have the zip file installed on your SD Card Root.

I'm a little confused :/ I got everything updated and what not and my phone doesn't look or act any different than when I first bought and activated it.

Am I supposed to see any significant difference after this update? I really miss the ROM I was using and I want to make sure I didn't do anything wrong or miss something after doing this update. Plus having the bloat again kills me.

Otherwise, I'll unlock and re-ROM this phone. Thanks for any help, guys ^_^

Edit: I can't get my screenshot to upload here for some reason but my software info reads as:

Android Version
4.0.3

HTC Sense version
3.6

Software number
3.14.605.10 710RD

More
Baseband, Kernel version, etc.

PRI Version
1.16_002, 2.10_002

PRL Version
15145

ERI Version
5

What were you expecting to be different? If the ROM you were using before was an ICS ROM, this is going to look very similar.

As for bloat...pshaw. ICS laughs at bloat.

Settings -> Apps -> "All" tab -> Select App -> Tap "Disable"

Ta-daa. App will be removed from app drawer and forbidden to run in memory or load at boot. Problem solved.

That's what I'm asking... If there is a noticeable difference after doing this update - and if so,what those differences are - the ROM I was using (Scotts CLEANROM) had a bit more bells and whistles. I'm just curious.

Joined the ranks of ICS. BTW, you want to put ph98img on the drive with 16 gigs....that's what threw me the first time I tried to update. Like a few others here. Now using mybackuppro to restore. Update was short....timed it at just over ten minutes and then of course you need to reauthorize google and all that fun stuff.

My update was quick as well...10 to 15 minutes...took longer to set everything up....lol. its running smooth so far.

My install didn't start automatically. It tried to load for a few minutes, then check the file for another 2 minutes, but stopped after it was done checking, and never rebooted itself. I made sure it was on the ext. sd card, and renamed properly. I ended up downloading the PH98IMG file on a different computer, from a different link and transferred it to my phone again. This worked perfectly. Not sure why, but phone is running ICS and working wonderfully. I did not download the file from this site, but from XDA.

So am I to understand, I just need to unlock the bootloader via HTCDEV, and can then install a rooted, deodexed stock ICS rom, without having to root the phone? Sounds like Cleanrom might be the way to go? Coming from a DX, so the process is a little different. Thanks

Just drag to the bottom....there should be 5 open slots but only three may be occupied at default.
