Is Anyone Happy with Froyo 2.2?

I hate the vibration problems but over all I like it. Anyone kno what the data tab is for.. and battery life sucks.. I get about half a day compared to a full day.. need a car charger.

Its funny to see before everybody was so upset that there was no update, then it finally came out and what do I see people upset again. Root the phones like most people and build the phone like you want it. To me this phone rocks.

That sounds like a personal problem. Stop holding down the back button when you power off. They couldn't have made it easier to NOT take screen captures when powering off. Are you being serious??

How can you not like the addition of a screen capture feature?

That sounds like a personal problem. Stop holding down the back button when you power off. They couldn't have made it harder to NOT take screen captures when powering off. Are you being serious??

I recommend doing the factory reset followed by *228 to help with battery. I like the screenshot feature. I discovered it by accident!

Horrible timing? Tip: you're either taking an instantaneous screenshot, or you aren't.

My brain-thing can't wrap itself around 'accidental' screenshots given the button combination necessary to do so.

Could you make a YouTube video of this please?

Bear with me if this was already stated above. The correct combination to do the screenshot is to press/hold the "back" key then push the "power off/off" button. If the screenshot was taken successfully, you'll see a message pop up down near the set of keys that it was taken successfully.

When I did this by accident, I was in the process of taking off my cover/case and powering off the phone at the same time (I think). Hence my lovely fingers being all over the "back" key at the same time! But I saw the message as the phone was powering off and wanted to know more about that feature.

Anyway the above combination works for me every time. Give that a shot?:icon_ banana:

Allfornaught: I was experiencing the auto-screenshot yesterday & this morning as well and just happened to be browsing this forum when it began happening today...read this thread and made sure I was not hitting any buttons simultaneously as described, and it still happened, as well as the device closing the browser and my Wordfeud app on its own.

If there is one common denominator however, on both occasions I was connected to wifi, & when it was behaving at its worst was this morning at a friends house that has zero VZW service (voice or data) in his area and the only thing at all to connect to was his router.

Not at all sure that was the reason it was happening, but since l I have returned home and been on the network as opposed to my wifi, neither of the things I was experiencing yesterday and this morning have happened again. (Shrugs shoulders)

First of all I'm not retarded I'm not holding down the back button it does it randomly and I don't even kno how to take the damn screenshot if I wanted to.

I have been working with stock froyo for about a week. Very happy so far. The changes make sense and work well. Got flash and skyfire and in desktop mode can view most flash videos. Many other changes that make me go "neat". # of emails notfied on email icon. I have saw no change in battery life. Looks like a nice addition.

Everyone needs to learn how to root and build their phones how they want the so they can complain to themselves about their phones! Seriously people! Samsungs not going to every fix all your problems! Step up a do something for yourself! For example: battery life, for the peeps complaining bout it, do some research on your phone and Tom's builds I found that super amoleds use less power when a black wallpaper is in use because the screen doesn't even come on in black areas, saving battery life, so I opted to use a stock gingerbread theme and superclean 2.9.2 for battery life and performance. It was easy to install and the awesome people in this forum helped me through the themes and the process. Now my phones on all day from 6:19 am to 6:02 pm and I still have 72% battery life! And that not to mention root benefits!

People tend to forget that battery life also depends on the signal you are receiving. If you are in a weak signal area, your battery life will be less since your phone is working harder to try and find a better signal.

I live in an area where the signal is xtremely weak. My battery dies quick when i'm at home. If i'm out and about, it last longer.
