Is Jelly Bean Coming to Bionic and RAZR ?

Just for the record...i upgraded my wifes phone with new contract and kept unlimited data on both of our phones! All i did was ask before they went through with it...
Just an fyi :)

Maybe Jelly Bean will run fine on the ICS kernel since it's only an incremental update and custom roms can then take us where OTA's (possibly) won't. All the ICS roms were running on hacked GB kernels hence the major issues with them. If Jelly Bean will run on the ICS kernel we're good to go.

I think we'll see it, as it should be a lot less work for them to go ICS->JB than it was GB->ICS

And most of us know how well the 2233 ICS leak for the Bionic runs. Most of the stuff they need for JB's new features has been implemented - things like GUI hardware acceleration and true multicore support. "Project Butter" will simply involve optimizing the OS for hardware GUI acceleration now that it has been implemented. Most of the other stuff is APK based.

I don't think Moto worked as hard as they did on ICS just to stop there.

When?

Is it just me or does it seem like the waiting time from a new Android version announcement to it's release is longer than the actual time that version is released to when it's replaced?

You realize that the time between announcement and release can technically be added to the lifespan of said version. ICS's lifespan didn't end with the announcement of JB.

Personally I doubt it. It probably has a requirement that the Bionic and the RAZR don't have. When I had my OG Droid we went from Eclair to Froyo, but that was it. I haven't seen an phone handle 3 different operating systems.

My incredible went from eclair to froyo to gingerbread.

Sounds like it's you that needs the history lesson. GB was NEVER on the OG Droid, unless you had root access & a custom ROM.

since the galaxy nexus have very similar hardware i really dont see why we don't get jellybean only if moto and verizon put more effort on it
but they still have to get ics out 1st and so far i've tested 2231 2233 229 ics leaks and its been running very smooth only a few bugs they still need to squash

jellybean is freaking awesome
i flash it to my gf gnex and compare to her brother gnex 4.0.4
what a huge difference when you run both side by side

hope it'll come to bionic because it'll make it a monster bargin phone
as of now with the ics leak on bionic it turned into a much better phone

Can I ask what's awesome about it? What are some awesome things Jellybean can do that ICS can't?

it's soo much smoother when you scroll on menu, homescreen, app drawer and web
voice recognition is much better and improve and much faster
gotta love the new notification list
once you compare both jellybean and ics you'll know the differences
it might not be a huge os overhaul but the new addition and new tweaks do make it feel like a whole different beast
to me it feels like gb going to ics

This. The last official OTA for the Motorola A855 Droid was FRK76 which is Android 2.2.3 and came out on 11/21/2011 - FRG83G was supposed to be the last OTA, but had some serious security issues than needed fixing.
