Issue of disrespect or people being over sensitive?

Funny I got in trouble, verbal warning, for forwarding that email for a whiny BS employee...
My supervisor laughed as he gave me the "warning" basically saying... Hey it may be true, but you can't send that in...
So basically we have to lie when we review our reports/underlings...
;)

Yes in this day and age you can not call a lazy worker, who admit to being lazy and not caring, a lazy pos. You have to beg that person to try and do a little better even though during their interview before getting the job they promised to work hard. Forget the fact that our company is losing money in lost production, also forget the fact the same person crying about not getting paid more money is the reason why we are having to hire more people to pick up the slack. Nope, all you can do is hear their excuses and if you don't agree to allow them to be lazy somehow they are able to go to hr and threaten to sue the company. Meanwhile the person next to them is twice their age doing twice the work have to work even harder to allow that sorry pos to continue to keep their job.

So true..., luckily, in Kalifornia, we have "at will" contracts... Meaning we or "them" can be told there's no work Monday...

But it can be our turn in the barrel too...

Yeah that can be a slippery slope. Not that a company should be "forced" to keep people if they dont have the means. Just I don't like the idea of a company not wanting to pay their laborers being able to scream bankrupt allowing them to clean their books of debt and topped out employees, meanwhile right after executives get bonuses and the company is able to buy new stuff. That or be able to ship jobs overseas for cheap labor.

Fraud is another thing, but I hate having to play the, shuffle the crap" game. Easier in my industry to start with temps and keep the producers.

Someone brought up a good point.

Where was the outrage when this was going on?

Did that promote violence against people with glasses (no offense @Jonny Kansas)?

And here I thought you meant facial hair or lousy fashion style. Glasses falls under the bullying category ,a separate form to fill out, not offense category.

How about this trailer that just came out yesterday? To me, by the standards of those folks offended by the guy strangling the girl character in that work of fiction, the screenshot they chose is racist.

Though we make light of this, I hate to see movies go down the road of not wanting to show good action for fear of offending people. Movie is art and not everyone will see art the same. Look, I am not saying movies like the Birth of a Nation (the original one) is not offensive. But I like an America where a person can freely make a movie like that and I can freely call it the pos that I think it is. When we get to a point where we can not do that then we begin to loose this freedom. I vote for how I feel about a show or movie by either paying for it or not.

That goes along the same lines of recent Tarantino movies. He seems to be the only filmmaker these days who uses the "n" word for shock value, as opposed to relevancy. I used to love his older films, Pulp fiction, Kill Bill, Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs....but lately his more recent films (Django Unchained, Hateful Eight) seem to use that word way more than it has to & simply for the sake of using it. To the point where it actually becomes uncomfortable to watch at times.
I know his style is to shock the audience, and I wouldn't want him to change that, just making an observation. It seems like overkill IMO.

S5 tap'n

Django was way over the limit, understandably it was set during the slave era, but mostly unnecessary IMO, and Tarantino now goes against the men in Blue, two faced, again IMO.

I was thinking about that when I typed the above post. Personally I agree that is is too overboard and almost disrespectful. But again, the way I respond to that is to either not watch it or rate it on imdb. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to make the keyboard warriors who sit behind the keyboard and bully or be bigots seem like they are what is right with America. No. But just because I dont like something should not mean it should be outlawed.
