It has begun, but I'm keeping the Rezound.

So around 1 am this morning I for the email from Verizon that the G Nex is finally for sale . How nice. Though it does seem like a nice device, its just not enough to take me away from the Rezound. But while Christmas shopping I may play with it a bit.

Agreed, my 30 day exchange privilege with Lets Talk ends today, I could swap the rezound but I realize how much I love it. Had a reasoin to call Verizon last night and talk with a tech rep on another issue. I told him I have the rezound and have the option for the nexus. He told me his opinion that Nexus is over rated, Rezound is better built phone and will be the stronger in the end. He said, remember the nexus is a samsung built phone, , They get samsumg problems 2 to 1 over HTC.

I haven't had many Samsung phones. The droid charge wad a bust. And I had the infuse on AT&T and that phone was good in my opinion. There just isn't enough that G nex has to offer yeah unlocked bootloaders are cool and vanilla is great. But I'm enjoying my rezound like crazy lol. My screen is just great. Smooth running for the most part. And my battery life has increase on stock....so I'm good. And I like the build of this phone.

Yeah I really like my Rezound, I don't think I'll be switching for the Nexus. I honestly really like sense, and I'm sure eventually the Rezound will get s off and stuff. And even if it didn't I'm fine with that.

Some phone need to be rooted and tooted to be good. Not the Rezound. It's good for the average consumer out of the box. For the most part buyers are remorseful about buying a Rezound. But now the Nexus may deter potential buyers. Wonder if Verizon will hype this up like the Razr or bionic.

Yeah hubby had a feature phone that was Samsung and even that had problems. My SIL has a Samsung android phone and has nothing but issues. The GN would have been so much better if Samsung had not been the manufacturer.

I agree 100% CP, there is nothing exciting to me about the Nexus except the bootloader. Eventually will we get ICS.. and fortunately or not Sense 4.0. I would imagine the update will roll out in February or March . If we had an unlocked bootloader we would have it next week though LOL.

Sense 3.5 is ok for me. Maybe because i don't expect much or even ask much. Just work when i need it to and it does just that. I wish I would do landscape mode though.

Change your launcher...ADW, GO, and Launcher Pro all do landscape. Only problem is you lose the Sense Widgets(if you're a widget guy). I personally could give a crap because I wasn't in line the day they were handing out love for widgets.

Yeah, i tried all the other launchers. launcher pro would have been my launcher of choice, but on a few occasions it has froze my phone and sometimes only half of the screen would appear. With sense it has never did that and continues to just run smoothly. Launcher pro when it's working ran pretty smooth and I liked it. I liked GO launcher as well. Seemed to hog more battery and was a bit too stuttery for me. ADW was really stuttery.
