Well you're up late again tonight!

Not really, I went to sleep around 11 and woke up at 3:30 to use the bathroom. I have a bad habit of checking my phone since it charges right next to my bed. I'm going back to sleep momentarily, as my alarm will go off in 2 hours.

Side note: I'm dropping signal like crazy now and having to use a data on/off to get it to reconnect.

Signal drops? Totally not normal. I am thrilled with .215. Perhaps you'll need to do a wipe and FDR. That is known to fix most everything that might be be wrong.

Now also updated, rooted and have open hotspot thanks to this! Cheers!

Glad it worked out for you. I could say thatMattyP worked hard putting those instructions together, but it was all his pleasure.

Oh I don't know about that foxkat. I would say he was working pretty hard, just not necessarily on the instructions lmao...

I guess I will follow your instructions that you helped me with for the FDR. But I would imagine that now there are a couple extra steps so I don't lose .215?

There shouldn't be any extra steps. All you are doing is wiping it clean except for the OS itself.

Jstafford is correct. No you won't lose .215. MattyP has a lock on that for ya'. :p

Re-seated the SIM card, did a factory reset, and still dropping data connection like crazy. I'm used to it dropping when I'm here at work, but it is never this bad! I am getting extremely frustrated

NOT normal. Put in a call to Verizon Tech support and see if they are having an outtage in your area. If not, report the problem. I know that I was having REALLY slow LTE through-put here there other day compared to normal. I had Opensignal Maps on my S III. Loaded it up and saw that I was not hitting my normal tower, but one several miles further away. Called in and sure enough, turns out they were having a tower problem that they were not aware of. They sent their guys out and a few hours later I was back at good speeds.

To be fair, I have always dropped signal at work, since Costco is an iffy 4G spot in the building. But it happened 3 times at my house, where I have only dropped signal once in the past.

I've been exceptionally pleased with .215, so I think your issues may be isolated. You've done the wipe cache and done the FDR, so I am leaning toward tower issues.
