jb is amazing! your thoughts?

I managed to keep root... but so far everything appears insanely unresponsive and slow. I'm hoping the phone is still just settling in to the new update... But I might be headed back to Cyanogenmod in a bit...

This was a decent upgrade as I believe most of the changes occurred under the hood as opposed to any radical UI changes. True, it feels smoother and "buttery." I do enjoy Google Now.
However, I have been using the AOKP and CM10.1 ROMS the last few months, so the change was not drastic to me as I was already used to it but they can't duplicate the buttery goodness.
Again, I am not "wowed" by this upgrade: I am only viewing it as an incremental improvement breathing new life into a quality phone. I am in no rush to ditch this phone. Its solid build and consistency more than make it dependable and useful for me. No complaints..and I can see the screen in daylight! :)

Yeah I agree. I think most people who looked into this update before hand knew it wasn't gonna change the UI and it's been said for a while that JB was really more of an enhancement to ICS then a new OS Google Now was the big thing. So far so good like the expanded notifications and Google now think those are great additions. Only trouble I am having is opening up my Chrome Browser....it opens then shuts down right away maybe just need to restart my phone but besides that it's all good. Also probably needs time for the system to sink in a bit but battery life looks a little worst we shall see....

Anyways happy we got JB because the future of this phone looked extremely bleak at this time last year (the history of this phone has been a rollercoaster). I don't have an upgrade til October (if that still stands) so this will tie me over until then and most likely beyond

Did jellybean take out the navigation sounds when clicking on a link in the web browser? If so is there anyway to get it back?

So I'm waiting for my JB Bionic to charge up, and I realize, hey use my gathering dust Bionic Lapdock.
This baby is running sweet. Sept update can wait now. Love it.

JB seems to be running okay, but still a little sluggish at times which will likely sort itself out, but a couple things I see right away....first I really don't care for the new popup menus regarding which apps you want to open which, but do like the way text messaging looks, flash player got screwed up but figured out how to get it up and running on this JB...they f'd up the pull down status bar (why change that back to black & white when you leave other areas still ICS blue!??) ....battery life seems better thus far.....haven't dissected processor performance quite yet. One other thing, playstore is now the ugly green again ...

Installed JB on my tired old Bionic this evening, has a little jump in it's step again! Like what I see so far! Look forward to checking in occasionally to see how things progress. Gonna have to dust off the lapdock, charge it up and check it out given what I am hearing.

My only issue is the light sensor sample rate is very slow to adjust when waking the phone, I have to wait in bright light for the screen to catch up so it can be read, so the auto adjust feature will get disabled soon I think.

Ok after a day on JB I have to say things seem to have sped up. :)Still miss a few things from Cyanogen though, but Cyanogen has its own issues... Choices Choices. :P

Okay, so i just got to better wifi, though my download still says its paused and will resume shortly.

anyway to fix this?
