Don't be so quick to judge that anyone would take money from their mortgage or kids to buy a phone....

Well I was at my local Verizon store and the rep had one to demo and test. I asked him if I can play with it while he looked up my account and to my surprise he said sure.. Damn the bastard is fast. I had a Droid, now im for sure getting my Incredible on Thursday. Just pre ordered mine at BB.. Will be there at 9:30am with a smile on :icon_ banana::icon_ banana:
:icon_ banana::icon_ banana:I simply walked in and asked, "Do you have a demo unit of the Droid Incredible?" The rep said yes and had to go grab it from the back of the store. As crazy as it sounds, it actually exceeded my already inflated expectations when I got it in my hand. It was actually shocking to me how smooth the phone ran at 1 Ghz compared to the Droid.
If you aren't a tech junky, you would need a compelling reason upgrade from the Droid to the Incredible. However, if you are buying new, the only reason I could see to buy the Droid now is if you desire a physical keyboard. The Incredible is near-unanimously the best Android phone out now.

This is absolutely crazy. Swap.. don't swap!!! OMG... the Moto Droid has been out for just over 6 months so what phone will have so many people going crazy 6 months from now!!! It's really simple and basic. If you like what you have, keep it (my wife really likes her Storm 2, but it wouldn't work for me). If you don't get something else. If it's only a matter of having the latest, slickest amd quickest, you'll be in a constant state of upgrading to the next phone until Taiwan becomes the 55th state of the Union and paying a lot of money doing it. The Moto Droid is an incredible phone and still cutting edge. The HTCI is just a bit more incredible in some areas. It's going to be really fun to watch when the iPhone 4G comes out this Summer and is offered by Verizon. Truely then, we will let the games begin!!!
Just curious, are all you guys that plan on switching from the droid to the incredible paying full retail prices? Because that seems nuts to me! The two year price is already high enough lol. I'd live to switch but I'm locked in a contract and not about to pay 600 for a phone!
