Just got an iPad from work today, and I'm saying goodbye...

Rice is the most popular food in the world, but that doesnt mean that it is the best.

Iphone has more/better apps. But thats all i'll give it.

Ignoring androids superiority to iOS, the droid still has:
1) a better camera w/ flash
2) A larger, higher resolution screen
3) Louder/better speakers
3) removable battery

In the last few months , I convinced over 10 friends to move from iPhone to Android , Droid or Incredible and last two got the EVO , they wanted Sprint because it has a better signal where they usually travel . None of them feel bad about switching to Android and they are pretty satisfied . If the iPhone users would have the chance to use a Android for a week so that they can learn the OS and see what it can do, a lot of them won't go back to the iPhone .
The bad thing is that now probably I'm on Steve Jobs black list for doing this :(

I mainly want a tablet because I'm always studying for certifications.
All my textbooks have PDF versions so a tablet would be great instead of carrying books around.

But I'm not gonna pay $600, that's for sure.

I just can't figure all you Android fanboys out. Why would you want an open source operating system that's available in multiple flavors, from multiple hardware manufacturers, from multiple cellular carriers - when you can get it one way from one manufacturer that will dictate and closely control exactly what you get and how you use it? This is for your own good. HONEST!

This open source, capitalism crap will never work. Monopoly is the wave of the future. TRUST ME!

(and btw, don't read that ridiculous book "What Would Google Do?". What kind of stupid company would give away things that you could charge outrageous prices for? What an idiotic business model...)

Well, list it. What does Apple have that the Droid doesn't and vice-versa:

1. Making a call and watching traffic on Google maps while I drive would be nice but the Droid can't do it. +1 Apple.

Anyone else??

Droid can make calls, iPhone can't.

Heres one thing that android should try, User-friendliness, Apple's got it and thats why so many people have an iphone, because its a smart phone for dumb people. I for one own both my Droid and and iPod Touch and admit that I love iOS, but what I like about my droid is that it has Soooooo many features

Lol, thank you.

You'd think we were talking about choosing God or Atheism the way some people talk about this. 90% of the population couldn't care less about this. Waaaay too much dogmatism in this thread!

4. Most people who own apple products defend them to the grave and even if they dont admit it i see it all the time they act superior to people who have no apple products and they defend their iphone or macs to the end even when a flaw is found unlike android users they wont admit it.

You really need to stop looking in a mirror.

By the way, I'd venture to say that Apple is the epitome of Capitalism and in no way monopolistic. I'm talking real world here, where $$ is most important because the number one goal of any company is to increase the value for shareholders. I think I could even make the argument that open-source is NOT capitalistic by its very nature.

HELLO!!! Do you not realize that Google is an advertising company? If they give something free to the masses the customers advertising with Google are going to know its going to reach a plethora of people. Why don't you go ahead and check that little site out.....oh.. what's it called.... hmm.. its the one everyone visits to find something out..BING? HAHAHAHAHAHA no that's not it. GOOGLE!!! OH BTW, its funny that with such a terrible business plan their stock is still over 500 bucks a share.

I hate debates why X is Better than Z. Pointless, Its all peoples of opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and bashing ones opinion of a product is a mute point because it varies from person to person. I use a Macbook Pro, it does what I need it to do with build quality and battery life I want and I got a droid because it does what I need to do for a smart phone.
