Just ordered the 1840mAh Droid X Extended Battery

THe pix of the packaging says that the battery is 1930 mah - not 18xx . Any idea why the difference?

Yep I was wondering the same. If you actually look on the two battery it reads

Original Droid X is 1500/1540 mAh
Extended Droid X is 1800/1930 mAh

Not sure why it says both 1800/1930.... I'm definitely happy with it!

This is absolutely the best extended battery i have ever owned and i have had over a dozen smart phones in the past 6 years. My last three of which have been Androids. I've had extended batteries that fit under the existing battery cover and I've had chunkers. This is by far the best combination.

Not as small a mAH as a same size fit ext. battery and not as much mAH as a huge chunker, but boy is this just the right size. I can still use all my accessories, and i have them all. A case, the car dock, and a media dock. They all still work and even though my battery power was already good, it is now great!

Just got it this morning at 10Am, and i am totally impressed. Keeping in mind I'm going on the original charge still that was only at 60% i still have 20% left and that's with some pretty steady use plus ALL GPS settings on and bluetooth too, along with screen brightness turned all the way up. I'm trying to kill the battery so i can get a solid full charge, but i'm happy to say it hasn't been easy to do.

I paid $40 with my discount so I'd say the price was great too!

I don't know how long ago 10am was for you since I don't know your time zone. How many hours are we talking?

Really good point. Sorry about that. EST. So i wrote that post at about 8:10PM EST. So it had been about 10 hours. But i was just able to get it to tank hard. I just ran Slingplayer streaming over 3G and it chewed through the rest in about 30 minutes.

I'm looking forward to even better numbers with a few full power cycles.

It will be intersting to see. I'm a pretty heavy user so even with the primary GPS and Bluetooth off, with screen brightness dimmed, I'll get a solid 12 hours on a full charge with my standard battery. So to go 8 1/2 hours with the extended with everything turned on (wifi off cause for me that saves battery power when connected) and the screen brightness all the way up, starting from 60%, I'm really excited about the prospects of this extended battery.

After the update, if they fix the ridiculous no sleep bug, your battery life is going to be amazing for a smart phone.

I have to say, this 1880mAh battery works great. Been off the charger since 6:30am and just hit the 30% mark in the last 15 minutes. Been using it on and off all day. TweetDeck, Facebook, gmail, corporate mail, couple phone calls. Couple videos, and some Homerun Battle 3D. Wifi, bluetooth & gps on.

Try working around the no sleep bug and you'll get about double the performance. I'll bet you.

Considering that i was at 30% with the standard battery by about 2pm, I'm liking the improvement. As long as I can get from off the.charger in the am until I go.to.bed at.night, I'm happy.

I'll look into the no sleep bug. Thanks.

I have gmail, yahoo, facebook, exchange, news, weather, yutube and that it actually. I was getting 12 hours plus on stock battery so if i wasn't trying to keep it from draining and in poor signal while at work i bet id have a solid day outs it. What's it take to break a battery in about a week?

Yeah, i forgot, i also have Weather Bug running all the time too in addition to multiple exchance accounts and all the other stuff i listed a few posts ago.

I don't think there's an "exact" science to it, but for me its 4-5 full cycles. I don't count days because if i get up early enough and stay up late enough, i can cycle a battery twice in one day with heavy non stop use. I got up at 7AM EST and I'm just going to play video and use it as much as i can until i kill it. Then give it another full charge and see if i can kill it again before bed tonight. I live in upstate NY and have a business trip to Tampa FL tomorrow and Tuesday so i want to get it cycled as much as i can so its as good as it can be while i'm on my trip.
