Just ordered the 1840mAh Droid X Extended Battery

after looking at it. I think the body glove cover will fit if you take the back off, remove the felt and work it a bit. Im not going to do it until i receive my battery, but it looks like a little time and work, it may fit. Maybe dremmel out the areas were the 'bump' of the new cover sits. I like this case and want it to work so im going to try and modify it to work with the new cover.

new Case

Switched my body glove (kept coming apart and phone dropping every time I hit my hip on something)(body glove also looks like hell after 1 week, pealing finish off) for the verizon shell and holster with extended battery and factory back. could see problem on screen...too tight. took battery cover off and put case back on and it works great.
Yesterday:
9 hours off charge:
210 minutes of talk time
14 emails
16 text messages
3 push emails
5 constantly updating widgets
and phone running in performance mode
X with leaked 2.2

70% of battery level...showed sales staff at Verizon and they were blown away.

Ordered mine over the weekend as it said it was back in stock. Got an email this morning (the day it was to be delivered) and it said:

Unfortunately, the (MOTDRDXBATX Extended Battery and Cover) you ordered is currently out of stock, and we are unable to provide an estimated time of delivery to our inventory. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you.

Sucks...

Love this new extended Battery. Have discharged it twice and fully recharged it twice. I installed a battery meter that gives time remaining. When I unplugged it this morning it said 20 Hours left. After some moderate use today it is 5pm and I still have 70% or 12 hours left. REally cool!!

daaammnn who is that in white in your sig?? if that's your wife, congrats. if that's your daughter, hook it up!

oh ya, good battery life #'s lol

For some odd reason I have been able to use my original battery cover on the exteneded battery with no problem. I have read the post saying it fits to tight but for some reason mine fits really well with no pressing of screen or anything. Which has made it nice because it still lets me use the rocket fish hard cover which allows me to use the Car Doc and Home doc with a few minor alterations of the home doc. Yes on the battery life with the new one, I have noticed a vast improvement on the BH6X. With a extremely amount of useage I still end the day with sometimes 30% to 50% of battery.

Extended Batteries

Hi There! New to this forum. Question for any of the experenced DX users here. Considering getting one of the really extended batteries from Mugen for my X. Any problems associated with the non-Motorola branded batteries? Too hot; not a great time-increase; etc? I'm not too concerned about form; eventually someone will come out with an acceptable case for the super-extended batteries... Thanks much!dancedroid

What's the name of the battery meter app you're using?
Time remaining is a nice feature.

FYI: I've tried a bunch of battery apps and the one I use is "Battery Time". It's set up based on the type of phone you have...it gives you a true percentage in the notification bar of battery strength (which the picture of battery that's factory is not accurate). Also shows you temp of device and will give you time remaining on about 10 different Items (video, talk, standby). There is a free version and a paid one. Hope this helps
