Kangerade 6.0.11 - Pre Release.

Looking forward to next release with themes! :D

same here :)

jrummy, are u making changes to the themes..ie, are you fixing the droidx theme issues (black text/gray button in gmail, browser, other apps) or just porting over the current ones?

thanks, cant wait. love me some kangerade

I am having some issues with this rom. By the way, I've been using Kangerade roms since since v1.1. So far they are the best. The Super User in this rom doesn't remember/reapply permissions to apps I tell it to remember. I tried a full wipe with redownloaded apps, wipe with ti backup, and no wipe at all (just over 5.0.9) and the same result for all. I'm having trouble with SetCPU and Autokiller keeping their settings and they keep resetting as if I never set them. I zipaligned apks, and fixed permissions, didn't fix it. They were set the same as in 5.0.9, which runs amazingly. UltimateJuice isn't in the market along with talkatap pro, those are the two apps I paid for that really irked me. I'm sure there are a lot more I haven't found.

On the flipside, allinone script is awesome but it failed to change to the correct bootani and failed entirely with the font even after dling the whole goodies.zip. reboot/reboot into recovery in turn off menu is great.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't Rummy's fault, just some gnarly kinks that need to be ironed out of FRG01B, or these apps aren't ready for this version yet. Perhaps I'm retarded and entirely missed something.

Anyway, some help would be cool.

Try it without autokiller installed. Also if that doesnt work try downgrading superuser app.
Ive had issues with taskkillers and autokillers for a while.
Most devs dont reccomend using them.

I'm not using a taskiller. Autokiller adjusts Android's native task killer's settings, root user only. Its like minfree but better. Free in the marketplace. I know not to use that taskiller crap. But, could the systems native taskiller cause this kind of issue?

Now perhaps downgrading superuser, would I do that as an update.zip?

I probably should have been more clear about the Autokiller, sorry.

Well... its been a couple minutes since I flashed super user 2.1, I think that fixed it. Thank you. I'll flash my kernal and I'll post back if its fubar again.

That was the problem, thanks. Everything seems to be working fine. Now, why is no one else having the same issue?

you know...been thinking...when i went to upgrade to k509 i wiped all 3 times including delvik....when i got back to home screen after new rom my old custom wallpaper was still there. either wiping is not doing the job or there are unknown files on sd card that get accessed by 2.2. anybody got any thoughts? i am bringing this up in reference to dandroidx's problem. im thinking we are missing something on wipe.
Could also be google backup causing us problems. I didnt uncheck it once.

That's very peculiar xlinth. I have never actually done a tri-wipe. I have this rom on my sd card and Titanium Backup with Hypershell... But, Ultimatejuice isn't in marketplace, and wont reinstall.

Maybe I won't.

i have been flashing roms for about 2 yrs now...and a long time ago on xda forums a dev told me to wipe 3 times (when i had my mytouch) just to be sure. i dont know why but i have always had very little problems if i do it that way. i dont like rom manager because it dont give you that option. the 2 times i used it i had issues with the roms. easy fixes though, but annoying (like the problem you had). so i always reboot into recovery, wipe all three , 3 times. (delvak, cache, and system). do a nandroid and try it that way and manually reinstall ur apps and see what happens. there is nothing like a fresh install of everything...for some reason speed is always better that way. if it doesnt work ...no harm done just restore nan backup and your back to where you are now.

I haven't wiped once since I jumped to 2.2, although I've only been on stock 2.2 and then 4 versions of Kangerade now. Wiping three times seems like a whole lot of overkill. To each his own, though.

JRummy-
You are killing it! Still on the stock kernal and this is super fast/smooth - will probably try one of ChevyNo1s this afternoon.

As for releasing themed versions vs. waiting, save yourself the time. To be honest, after coming off a string of themed Kangerade and CM6 versions, its somewhat refreshing to be back to the stock theme.

I wiped 3x data, cache, & dalvik. The difference is amazing.

I decided to wait for this leak to pop up and use the proprietary files and gapps from it. This "test" version runs great though so enjoy it until I can cook up a newer version. I was suppose to get the leak early yesterday but I guess that didn't happen :'( Should be out today and I'll try to cook something up before I go on a cruise next week :)
